Definitions

Diploid: Having two sets of chromosomes
Early intervention:  is a support system for children with developmental disabilities or delays and their families. 
Fetus: A Developing human infant from approximately the third month of pregnancy until delivery
Gametes: Reproductive cells
Homogametic: Producing gametes containing only one type of sex chromosome.
Horseshoe Kidney: Patient's kidneys fuse together to form a horseshoe-shape during development in the womb
Hyperplasia: An increase in number of cells/proliferation of cells.
Leydig Cells: One of the relating cells of the testes; thought to produce androgen.
Mosaicism: Is a condition in which cells within the same person have a different genetic makeup
Phenotypes: An organism's observable characteristics or traits
Streak Gonads: An organ in animals that produces gametes, especially a testis or ovary.
Swyer Syndrome: A condition in which individuals with one X chromosome and one Y chromosome in each cell.
Zygote:  After a female egg is fertilized, the result of the one-celled organism
